A friend of mine told me that I had to try out the Burger Stack or smashburgers at 255 Highview Dr #3, Kitchener, ON N2N 2K7, and try one of their burgers. Now I’m a burger junkie! I love burgers, and over the years, I’ve tried many of them. So when I heard of the Burger Stack, I had to check it out.
This burger joint is nothing more than a hole in the wall. It doesn’t give you much seating and it’s a tight fit, but don’t judge it too quickly. You know a good burger place when there is a line of people waiting to order.
I ordered their Original Stack Burger, waited for about 10 minutes, and then it appeared – burger genius.
I have to say, it was a really great burger. It’s a mess and I loved every bite.
This burger was greasy, drippy, and delicious! I could not believe how great this burger tasted. Its greasy coated bun was so good, and the toppings of the burger wouldn’t stay in place. Don’t wear a nice shirt eating this burger and do not eat it in the car while driving. It will not work out. I promise.
What makes this burger so good is the way that it’s constructed. They throw the burger on the grill and smash it. It’s a thin beef patty, but has so much flavour. I am not sure what they add to the beef, but it’s so good.
The Burger Stack comes in three sizes. You can get the single ($5.89), double ($7.89) or triple ($9.89). The burger comes with a smashed burger, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and their delicious smash sauce that runs everywhere. It’s a sloppy Joe of a burger.
You can also get their Cheesy Jalapeño Stacker, Bacon Garlic Stacker, or their Crispy Chicken. You don’t have to stop there either. They have desserts, poutine, and favourable milk shakes.
For $4.99 you can add a can of pop and a side of their fresh cut fries to your Smash Burger.
These fries are sooooo good! I’ve had a lot of fries in my days (a lot), and these have to be some of the best fries I’ve eaten in while. They are bite sized, fresh cut, lightly salted, crispy fries that have an unbelievable flavour. These fries would be hard to beat.
The Stack Burger is a messy mess. I definitely needed a handful of napkins to eat this burger. Yet, it was totally worth it.
The burger was sloppy and delicious, and the fries were crispy and light. It was a great lunch, and I left full.
The problem with fast food burgers is that they don’t fill you. Seriously, I can eat a Big Mac and still be hungry. I was totally satisfied with the Stack Burger, and it tasted far better than any fast food burger that I’ve eaten.
If you’re looking to up your burger game, then I would suggest you give the Burger Stack a try. If you’re in the Kitchener area, it’s worth stopping in for this burger, messy lunch.
